This device is located in the Metallurgical Laboratory and is used to cut small samples (maximum dimensions of 20*50*450 mm).

Small samples include metallographic samples, quantometry sample, and etc.


Cutting operation is done in a closed chamber that has a valve view. This device uses a soapy water pump to cool the blade and the sample.

Furthurmore, The device has a slow loading lever to cut the plates.

The following description shows how the device works:


First, the Sample is placed between two clamps at the edges of the device.

After closing the door, the device and soapy water pump is activated.

Cutting operation and necessary loadings to cut starts by the lever.

After finishing cutting operation, We bring back the state of the device by pressing the green button to the first state.
Then we remove the cut sample by shutting down the device and soapy water pump, the cut sample is removed from the edges.
